Cooley Expands its National Bankruptcy & Restructuring Practice

San Francisco, Calif. – April 5, 2010 – Cooley Godward Kronish LLP announced today that Keith A. McDaniels, formerly a partner at Winston & Strawn LLP,  has joined the firm as a partner in its Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice.  He will be resident in San Francisco.

With key representations in the automotive, finance, telecommunications, technology, pharmaceutical and consumer products industries, he will further diversify our sector expertise in the bankruptcy practice," said Lawrence Gottlieb, head of Cooley's Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice.

McDaniels' practice focuses on the representation of creditors' committees and debtors in complex bankruptcy cases and out-of-court restructurings. He also advises and represents creditors, lenders and acquirers of assets in matters dealing with distressed and insolvent companies.  He has advised in high-profile bankruptcy matters including Global Safety Textiles Holdings, LLC, Silicon Graphics, Inc. and Renaissance Custom Homes.
