Derek O. Colla is an associate in the Cooley Business Department. He is a resident of the Washington, DC office. He joined the Firm in 2008 in the Firm's San Diego office, and moved to the firm's Washington, DC offices in 2011.
Mr. Colla's practice focuses on the representation of issuers and investors in the formation and financing of emerging technology and life sciences companies, as well as counseling companies with respect to mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, strategic relationships, public offerings and general corporate matters.
Mr. Colla received his J.D., cum laude, from the Harvard Law School and his B.S. in computer science from Washington & Lee University.
Mr. Colla is a member of the State Bar of California.
