Eric Grossman is a partner in the Cooley Business department. He joined the firm in 2005 and maintains an office in the Washington, DC and New York offices.
Mr. Grossman focuses his practice on private equity, growth equity and venture capital investments, leveraged buyouts, mergers and acquisitions, cross-border transactions (with a specific focus on India) and counseling emerging growth companies with respect to general corporate and securities law matters. Mr. Grossman also has experience representing issuers with respect to their initial public offerings and subsequent reporting obligations.
Prior to joining Cooley, Mr. Grossman was an associate in the Boston office of Goodwin Procter, where he counseled clients with respect to private equity investments, public and private mergers and acquisitions, recapitalizations, public offerings, financings, asset purchases and dispositions, and general corporate and securities law matters.
Mr. Grossman received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the Boston University School of Law in 2002, where he was an Edward F. Hennessey Distinguished Scholar, Paul J. Liacos Distinguished Scholar, G. Joseph Tauro Distinguished Scholar and the recipient of the William L. and Lillian Berger Academic Achievement Prize. He received his B.A. in Communication from Tulane University in 1996.
Mr. Grossman is a member of the bar of the Commonwealths of Massachusetts and Virginia.
