Laura Medina is a partner in the Cooley Business department. She is resident in the Colorado office and joined the Firm in 1995.
Ms. Medina specializes in the representation of emerging growth companies, mergers and acquisitions and early and late-stage venture capital and growth equity transactions. She represents strategic and financial buyers and sellers in acquisition transactions across a broad range of industries, including information technologies, clean technologies, biotechnology, medical devices and natural and organic products. She also has significant experience in counseling boards of directors in connection with mergers and acquisitions and related governance matters. Her experience in the representation of emerging companies ranges from start-up incorporation and counseling to the day-to-day representation of mature companies.
Ms. Medina graduated from Stanford Law School, with distinction, in 1995. She received her undergraduate degree in Economics, with distinction, from Stanford University in 1992, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
